Ho ho ho-rror while we risk future heart problems to eat delicious popcorn.
Dave: Having gotten a degree in folklore, I’ve been familiar with the figure of Krampus for awhile. I was apprehensive that a Krampus feature film would be too cute and saccharine. But this was fairly bleak. Not terrifying, but creepy. Even with the mediocre special effects, it was a great movie and may become a Christmas tradition. (⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ )
Really, how can you beat Fritos, cheese, popcorn, and green onions? (⭐️⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ 1/2)
Joe: Soll ich diese Einschätzung auf Deutsch geben? Krampus is a delightful, heartfelt holiday film as only the Germans could imagine. That is to say it’s sardonically funny, has plenty of full-on freaky shit, solid jump scares, and has an ending that is initially disappointing until the final frame which only drives home how truly dark and fucked up the film is. It’s way more fun than it has any right to be (⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ )
Curry popcorn has, thus far, been our favorite. Frito pie popcorn pulls a very close second. It took about an hour to make, but man was it worth it. When you get a handful of all the ingredients at once (popcorn, Fritos, cheddar cheese, green onions, and spice): holy. cow. Game on. This could become a household go-to. It could also cause us to die of heart failure. (⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ )
