The Nerdery Movie Night #7: Mascots & Cajun Popcorn and Sriracha-Lime Popcorn

Joe's parents join us and we make two popcorns for one movie. We live dangerously.

We didn't take a photo of the popcorn. But here's our bowl, which was made by Dave's father back in the early aughts!

Special guests this week: Joe's mom and dad. Joe made two popcorns tonight since we ran out of Cajun spice. And we also forgot to take photos. We were hungry. Anyway.

Dave: Mascots was hilarious. It was good to see Parker Posey playing a lovably mentally ill character again. (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️)

Cajun Popcorn: Delicious, spicy, and flavorful. I want to make it again. (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2)

Sriracha: A little too spicy and kinda soggy. And it didn't really taste like much on top of that. It needed something to even out the Sriracha (⭐️⭐️⭐️).

Joe: The funniest movie Christopher Guest has made in well over a decade. It's side-splitting and totally inappropriate. Also, Corky St. Clair makes an appearance, which sealed the deal for me. (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️)

Cajun: This fresh scallions really makes this one special. There's a nice hint of heat that comes through after a few handfuls. Definitely one we'll make again. (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️)

Sriracha: Yeah, the sogginess happened again. We need to think of a solution for that. But I actually really liked this one. It had a wicked amount of heat and the fresh lime juice really gave it a nice, sharp bite. (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️)
