An idiotic sequel is joined by a tooth-achingly sweet popcorn.
Dave: The movie, like the popcorn, was just a little bit too much. Individual characters were funny, the plot was ridiculous, but everything together just felt like you were being beat over the head with double entendres for an hour and a half. (⭐️⭐️).
The popcorn had potential, but like some of the other popcorns we've panned, it was too much of one single flavor. As someone who loves desserts so sweet they make my face hurt, this was too cloyingly sweet even for me. We did finish 3/4 of the bowl, though. (⭐️⭐️1/2)
Joe: The original Zoolander is one of my most favorite Dumb Movies ever, but its follow-up is a crashing disappointment. Most of the jokes fall flat, the slapstick isn't even remotely cutting edge, and the characters haven't stood the test of time. Kristin Wiig is a gem, though. Naturally. (⭐️1/2)
The popcorn was weird. Sweet flavors can combine well with popcorn, but such was not the case here. I could drink a tin of sweetened condensed milk, but it was just too much when mixed with crushed Oreos (or Aldi knockoffs - whatever). This review feels incoherent. Probably because I'm riding on a massive sugar high. Blurgh. (⭐️1/2)
